randy loyd – owner
In the very complex world of electronics, it requires a person who can integrate a variety of technical disciplines and creative skills to design and install successful audio and video systems in today’s marketplace. Randy Loyd, the leader in his field, also has the ability to listen and work effectively with his clients. Also, for the past 40 years Randy Loyd has succeeded in delivering a wide variety of systems to a vast clientele. Including, Superstars, CEO’s, large corporations and other discerning clients. Mr. Loyd is constantly updating his technical credentials to stay current with the state-of–the-art in audio, video, and control systems.
The Blending Of Art And Science
Randy is a perfectionist and demands the highest degree of workmanship from his installers and programmers. In addition, he is personally involved in a hands-on basis through the entire project. To create truly unique and exceptional audio and video systems, it requires the blending of art and science as well as Talent and Dedication. Randy Loyd has an extensive creative background in music including performing, and recording studio experience, (both from the performing and engineering sides).
Mr. Loyd was a music major at California State University for two years and Tahoe College in Lake Tahoe for two years. He then went on to spend 20 years as a professional entertainer, including, a stint as a member of the Kingston Trio. Randy spent 15 years in the recording business working as a studio musician for Carousel Productions recording studios. There, he worked as a singer, instrumental musician, recording engineer, producer, and writer. He worked on hundreds of regional, national and international commercials for prestigious clients including. Among them, Coors, Lipton Tea, Union Pacific, Albertson’s, Frontier Airlines, The American Lamb Council and many others.
Technical Education And Experience
Randy has spent hundreds of hours in the recording studio mixing music. This requires critical listening to create mixes that refine the smallest musical details, in order to achieve a balanced exciting musical mix. So, he understands how music is created in the recording studio. This imparts a deep understanding of how to best recreate music in the commercial and residential environments. With the installation of the audio and video systems that he creates, this musical intuition is apparent.
Randy has studied sound system design and installation extensively for the past 40 years. Also, he is a graduate of the Synergetic Audio Concepts Electro Acoustics school. As well as, follow up schooling in grounding and shielding. He has also attended various schools sponsored by factories including JBL, Altec Lansing, Crestron, Audio Ease, Crown Audio, and many others. In addition, the technical seminars offered at the NSCA, and CEDIA conventions have also been excellent resources for Mr. Loyd. He has attended them all. Randy has 40 years of experience in the audio, video, and systems control design and installation field. Above all, this brings a wealth of knowledge that can only be learned by on-the-job experience.

alan burnham
Al Burnham comes to Applause after a very impressive career in audio and video. He provides technical fabrication, installation services, and computer CAD drawings for Applause. Mr. Burnham installed and was the Chief Engineer at the world class Caribou Ranch Recording Studios in Nederland, Colorado. Caribou was owned by the performing group “Chicago”. In addition, Al was also the Chief Engineer at both Wicker Works Video Productions, and Colorado Studios (multi million-dollar post-production video facilities). He uses his technical skills, organizational skills, and his advanced computer literacy to make Applause Multimedia one of the finest audio and video design/install firms in the world.
scott rust
Scott Rust holds a Masters electrical license as well as a Colorado Contractor’s license. Mr. Rust oversees all electrical contracting and installation of audio, video, and control system wiring for Applause Multimedia. He is also a very creative and competent lighting systems designer. With Scott’s abilities Applause can also offer complete, licensed electrical services. Thus, keeping more of the job under the umbrella of a single contract.
chris jensen – control AUTHORITY
Chris Jensen of Control Authority is a master computer programmer. He is also a certified Crestron programmer. Computers play an increasingly large role in the use and control of audio and video systems. Chris is an expert in programming large complex systems such as Crestron, AMX, and many others. Mr. Jensen is equally at home in both commercial and residential programming. He has spent years programming large systems here and around the world. Chris also programs large classified systems for the military.
